Ezymed was established in 2005 to address a growing gap in aged care – the need for clinically strong, system-integrated medication management that supports both residents and providers.
Our vision for improved visibility, transparency, and accountability in medication management was further shaped during the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety (2018–2021). The Commission highlighted significant gaps in medication oversight, documentation, and governance across the sector.

Our Difference
Unlike traditional providers, Ezymed combines:
• Embedded onsite pharmacists (ACOP)
• Centralised clinical governance
• Live system integration and reporting
• Benchmarking across facilities and provider groups
In addition, our model enables:
• Higher RMMR throughput per quarter, supported by strong operational coordination and system integration
• Continuity of pharmacist presence, allowing issues identified in RMMRs to be followed through onsite
• Stronger, ongoing relationships with GPs, nurse practitioners, and allied health professionals
• Improved clinical collaboration, resulting in more meaningful, implemented recommendations rather than one-off reviews
This integrated approach allows Ezymed to move beyond retrospective reporting and into sustained, relationship-driven quality improvement.
